not quite answering the question, but... I had a cat, and several chinchillas (small, round, furry things) and the cat was very jealous of the chis, and despised them, besides, because they would chase her and nibble at her tail. The chis got raisins as snacks and jealous the cat would beg for raisins, too, and it turned out, she really quite liked them. Then she was happy whenever it was reason-treat time, and there was momentary harmony in the home.
There was very little the chis wouldn't nibble, but the cat drew her line at cactus. Houseplants, maybe, but she was never jealous enough to try a bit of cactus to show up the wicked chis.

Nice photos ;o) Our cats don't seem to understand that squirrels are anything but small, funny-looking cats. But then, they are housecats who don't believe in hunting. ;o)

Your post reminded me of that.
What is the one thing Salamander won't eat -- cat treats! She gets really mad when Willow gets one, although she won't eat them anyway.

HAve a great day!

Add me to the liver list. Veal, too. I try not to refuse a food until I've actually tried it, but I refuse to ever try those two.

I don't eat organ meat of any animal.

To answer your question from last week: Yes, we are going on some kind of safari. I can't wait - there's only 30 days left until I go.

PORK....baby octopi...and crawfish.

I love the answer that saved by grace gave...

And Robin's story sounds about right... the eccentric eating habits of our pets. I had a dog that ate grapes if you peeled them for her, and cat that ate lettuce.

Thanks Paul for telling me the cat is called Dragon!
Of course it is - I should have guessed!
We could do with a 'big cat' here to deal with the urban foxes that have invaded London

I am the person who owns Jet, the black cat. This is soooooooo cute. It's just like my cat with my gerbils. She thinks of them as family members and touches one's nose. It's so adorable!
